Watch a film.See your brain respond.

NeuroScreen turns a consumer EEG headband and a short film into an objective window on attention, engagement and cognitive fitness — in your browser, no lab, no wires, no waiting room.

Three minutes to your first brain chart

Pair your headband

One click connects your Muse EEG headband — straight from Chrome or Edge. No installs, no drivers.

Watch a short film

Carefully crafted scenes with precise time markers. Your brain answers every moment — 256 times a second.

See your response

Live charts of your brain's reactions — compared with your own history and with people your age. Your trend, not just a number.

One platform, many ways to use it

Cognitive fitness

Track how your attention and processing speed evolve over the years — against your own baseline. Know your trend before anyone else does.

Shared sessions

Watch the same film with someone you love — from different cities — and see how your brains synchronize, moment by moment.

Content testing

Second-by-second engagement of real audiences. Know which scene grips and which one loses the room — measured, not guessed.

Open research

A remote hyperscanning platform for labs, universities and citizen science. Preregistered, versioned, auditable.

Built on decades of neuroscience

  • Event-related potentials (P300) — the classic, peer-reviewed measure of processing speed.
  • Inter-subject correlation — how strongly brains synchronize on the same story.
  • Validated low-cost EEG — research-grade paradigms on a headband, not a hospital.
  • Cryptographic time-stamping — every recording versioned, comparable, auditable.

Frequently asked questions

What is NeuroScreen?

NeuroScreen is a web platform that records measurable brain responses while you watch a short film with a consumer EEG headband. It reads four channels at 256 samples per second and derives event-related potentials such as the P300, plus measures of how strongly responses correlate between people. It is a wellness and research tool, not a medical device.

What equipment do I need?

A Muse EEG headband and a Chromium-based browser with Web Bluetooth — Chrome or Edge — on an HTTPS page. Nothing is installed: the headband is paired straight from the browser.

Is this a medical diagnosis?

No. NeuroScreen produces measurements, not diagnoses, and it is not a medical device. If you have questions about your health, speak to a doctor.

What exactly is measured?

Four EEG channels (TP9, AF7, AF8, TP10) at 256 samples per second, aligned with the film frame by frame. From that we average event-related potentials and report latency and amplitude per channel together with the signal quality of the recording.

How long does a session take?

A few minutes: checking electrode contact, an optional 60-second baseline and the film itself. The analysis then runs on the server, so you do not have to wait — the result appears in your account when it is ready.

Where is my data stored?

In the European Union. EEG recordings are health data under Article 9 GDPR, so they are processed only on the basis of two separate consents, and you can download or delete everything from your account at any time.

What does it cost?

Nothing at the moment. The service is free and access is by invitation while the comparison database is being built.

Can two people measure together?

Not yet. Shared sessions — remote hyperscanning, in which two people watch the same film in different places and their responses are compared — are in preparation. Today each person measures alone.

Is the website accessible?

Yes. The site conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA on the basis of a self-assessment, works from 320 pixels of width and at 200 per cent text size. The accessibility statement lists the known exceptions.

Who is behind NeuroScreen?

NeuroScreen is a service of Adam Koch, based in Hagen, Germany. The full provider details are in the legal notice.
